Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Applications Engineer (AE) to join our robotics team. The candidate shall play a key role in translating the leading-edge technology of Percpetyne into customer deployments for their automation needs. The ideal candidate will integrate, implement, debug and support applications tailored to meet specific project requirements using Perceptyne’s robots. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and close collaboration with clients to ensure the successful deployment and operation of our products. You will play a key role in understanding customer needs, deploying our robots, and providing ongoing support to optimize system performance

Role Responsibilities 

  • Deployment & Integration: Work directly with customers as well as internal teams to install, configure, and integrate Perceptyne's robotic systems into client’s environment and ensure smooth operation.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Customer Collaboration: Partner with clients to understand their operational needs and provide guidance on best practices for system utilization.
  • Validation & Testing: Conduct system validation campaigns, software updates, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Product Improvement: Provide feedback to internal engineering teams based on real-world deployments, contributing to product enhancements.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals while conducting customer training sessions.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with the engineering, product management, and customer success teams to ensure smooth execution of customer projects.

Skills and Requirements 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering (including Electronics, Communications or Instrumentation), Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of robotics systems, kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning.
  • Experience in integrating and deploying robotic or embedded systems in real-world environments at client locations.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Python, C/C++, and ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-50% domestically and internationally.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability 
  • Influencing and aligning cross functional teams towards specific goals 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AI-driven perception systems and robotic manipulation.
  • Prior experience in field service, customer support, or system integration within the robotics industry.
