Commercial Operations Executive

Help Robots Reach the Factory Floor
Building a capable robot is hard. Getting it quoted correctly, shipped on time, invoiced accurately, supported during a pilot, and converted into collected revenue is just as important.
Perceptyne builds industrial humanoid robots that can do real physical work: handling parts, supporting assembly, and performing tasks that have remained difficult to automate. We are building dual-arm, highly dexterous, contextually intelligent robots for electronics and automotive assembly, e-commerce packaging, food preparation, and other real-world environments.
As we move from prototypes to customer pilots and deployments, we need someone who treats operational follow-through as a core part of delivering the product. You will help ensure that no commercial or deployment detail falls through the cracks—from the first sales quote to final payment collection.
If you are diligent, highly organized, persistent, and take genuine ownership of getting things completed, this is that role.
What You’ll Actually Do
You will sit at the intersection of sales, finance, operations, engineering, procurement, logistics, and customers. Your work will create the operational backbone that helps Perceptyne run pilots, ship systems, invoice customers, and collect revenue reliably.
- Create, review, track, and maintain accurate sales quotations, commercial proposals, purchase orders, work orders, invoices, delivery documentation, and related records.
- Maintain a clear, current pipeline of every commercial opportunity—from quote sent, to PO received, to build readiness, shipment, installation, invoicing, payment due, and payment collected.
- Coordinate with the sales and technical teams to ensure customer commitments, scope, timelines, quantities, deliverables, payment terms, and acceptance criteria are documented correctly before execution begins.
- Track customer purchase orders and ensure that the quote, PO, invoice, shipment, and payment schedule reconcile correctly.
- Prepare and coordinate invoicing milestones, advance-payment requests, pro forma invoices, tax documentation, and final invoices in partnership with finance.
- Follow up professionally and persistently on receivables, outstanding approvals, pending POs, invoice acknowledgements, payment commitments, and overdue collections.
- Build and maintain collections trackers, ageing reports, revenue forecasts, and weekly status updates for leadership.
- Coordinate pilot logistics: customer-site readiness, shipment dates, transport, packaging, installation requirements, site access, delivery documentation, return logistics, and field-team coordination.
- Work with procurement, inventory, engineering, and manufacturing teams to confirm that the correct robot configuration, spare parts, tools, documentation, and accessories are available before shipment.
- Support domestic and, over time, international shipping and logistics processes, including packing lists, e-way bills, transport coordination, insurance, dispatch tracking, delivery proof, and export documentation where applicable.
- Maintain accurate CRM, ERP, spreadsheets, trackers, and document repositories so that the latest commercial and operational status is always visible.
- Identify missing information, inconsistent data, commercial risks, delayed dependencies, and process gaps before they become customer-facing problems.
- Improve operational processes as the company grows—moving from one-off coordination to repeatable systems, templates, checklists, dashboards, and ownership mechanisms.
What We’re Looking For
This role is for someone who combines attention to detail with a strong bias toward closure. You should be comfortable following up repeatedly, coordinating across busy teams, and calmly driving an ambiguous process until every operational detail is complete.
- Bachelor’s/Masters degree in business, commerce, operations, finance, supply chain, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, commercial operations, order management, logistics coordination, finance operations, customer operations, or a similar execution-focused role.
- Experience managing one or more of: quotations, purchase orders, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, dispatch, shipping, pilot/deployment coordination, customer documentation, or sales reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail. You can spot a mismatch between a quote, a PO, an invoice, a delivery schedule, and a payment milestone before it causes a problem.
- Strong ownership and persistence. You do not assume a task is complete because an email was sent; you follow it through until the required outcome is confirmed.
- Comfort following up with internal teams, vendors, and customers professionally and consistently.
- Strong spreadsheet skills, including Excel or Google Sheets. You should be able to build and maintain clean trackers, use formulas, validate data, and make operational status easy to understand.
- Ability to work with structured systems such as CRM, ERP, accounting software, inventory tools, or project-management tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication. You can write professional customer emails, summarize status concisely, and escalate risks early.
- Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive workstreams without losing track of details.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-moving, cross-functional robotics company in Hyderabad.
Nice to Have
These are useful but not mandatory. Apply if the core of the role fits you.
- Experience in a B2B technology, industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, SaaS, hardware, or engineering-services company.
- Experience handling hardware sales, capital-equipment orders, industrial projects, pilot deployments, or field-service coordination.
- Familiarity with Indian GST invoicing, e-invoicing, e-way bills, transport documentation, and basic accounts-receivable processes.
- Experience using Zoho, Tally, Salesforce, HubSpot, Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRM/ERP/accounting systems.
- Exposure to procurement, inventory management, vendor coordination, warehouse operations, or supply-chain planning.
- Familiarity with contracts, statements of work, commercial terms, payment milestones, delivery acceptance, or customer onboarding.
- Experience with export logistics, customs documentation, international shipping, or shipping insurance.
- A background in engineering or a genuine interest in robotics and industrial technology.
How We Work
At Perceptyne, we like to build things, evangelize great ideas, and stay grounded. We hold a few deliberate tensions:
- A large vision, without losing attention to detail.
- Fast execution, without losing operational discipline.
- Breakthrough technology, shipped to market as quickly as possible.
- High ownership, paired with clear communication and teamwork.
This role is not back-office administration. It is a high-leverage execution role at the point where product, customer, revenue, and deployment meet.
We value grit and dedication: the discipline to keep following up when a payment approval is delayed, the care to verify every commercial detail before a shipment leaves, and the persistence to resolve a blocked process rather than simply reporting that it is blocked.
You will thrive here if you enjoy creating order from ambiguity, care about reliable follow-through, communicate clearly across functions, and get satisfaction from seeing a complex process move from “pending” to “done.”
Apply
If you have managed a commercial or operations process you are proud of—such as improving collections, coordinating a complex deployment, reducing quote-to-invoice time, building an operations tracker, or resolving a difficult logistics issue—tell us about it. We care more about evidence of ownership and execution than a perfect resume.
