About Perceptyne
Perceptyne is a deep-tech robotics startup building AI-powered semi-humanoid robots for automating dexterous and intelligent tasks on industrial shopfloors. These robots can be used in areas like electronics product assembly, Automotive assembly lines, warehouse operations, food preparation, etc. We are building technology that will push the boundary of robotics as we know it today!
How is it like to work at Perceptyne?
At our core, we like to build things, we evangelize great ideas, and we are grounded. At Perceptyne, we greatly value these dichotomies:
Having experience while not losing a first principles approach.
Having a large vision while not losing attention to detail
Working on disruptive tech while hitting the market ASAP
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Supply Chain Manager to lead our sourcing vertical (both in domestic and international markets), vendor development, and supply chain operations for high-precision engineering products used in robotics and automation systems.
This role demands a technical understanding of precision manufacturing processes and engineering specifications, enabling the candidate to effectively evaluate suppliers not just commercially, but also on their ability to meet stringent tolerances, material requirements, and process capabilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable interpreting technical drawings, understanding GD&T, and engaging in detailed
discussions with engineering teams and vendors on manufacturability and process optimization.
This role requires frequent travel to visit suppliers, conduct on-site evaluations, and collaborate closely with vendors and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities

1. Assess vendors’/suppliers’ technical capabilities, manufacturing processes, and quality standards before onboarding.
2. Analyze quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.
3. Overseeing implementation of ERP systems to ensure data flow seamlessly between procurement, warehouse and finance.
Sourcing :
1. Identify and source standard components and raw materials globally while ensuring cost-effective and reliable supply.
2. Handle import/export processes, shipping terms, and Incoterms for global procurement operations.

2. Notify suppliers about drawing revisions, specification updates, or BOM changes and ensure they implement the latest version
3. Manage existing inventory when revisions occur by identifying obsolete parts, planning rework, or adjusting procurement plans.
Risk Assessment :
1. Detect potential risks related to suppliers, logistics, geopolitical issues, quality failures, and supply disruptions
2. Analyze the impact of risks on cost, production schedules, delivery timelines, and overall business continuity.
3. Develop strategies such as alternate suppliers, safety stock, and logistics alternatives to reduce risk exposure.
4. Regularly monitor supplier performance, market conditions, and geopolitical factors that may affect supply chain stability.
5. Coordinate with internal teams to respond quickly to disruptions and maintain supply continuity.
Cross-functional Coordination :
1. Collaborate with engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure smooth supply chain execution and production flow.
2. Support new product development (NPI) through timely sourcing and supplier readiness.
